Gary Chapman has always been one of my favorite artists, I love his voice and his sense of humor. For all of you listeners on facebook, I would like to share “Gary Chapman’s Hymn Of The Week”. I look forward to watching/listening every Monday morning. It is just Gary sitting in his house, playing his guitar and it sounds amazing! I love the old hymns and he begins each one by giving a bit of the history behind the song. Many of the hymns were written during amazing trials and difficult circumstances. Some of the hymns that he has recorded include: Holy Holy Holy, Be Thou My Vision, ‘Tis So Sweet, and Near To The Heart Of God. I would like to encourage you to become friends with Gary Chapman II so that you can enjoy these beautiful hymns and be encouraged by their amazing lyrics!
(And please tell your friends!)

Veggie Tales is this Thursday!!! We are still looking for people who can help out all day with Load In and Load Out! If you are not sure what that means, it’s basically unloading the truck and setting everything up on the stage – there are crew guys from the tour that let you know what to do, then when the show is over, we tear it all down and put it back in the truck!!! It is a lot of fun and a great way to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes at concerts. VeggieTales is at Manheim BIC in Manheim this Thursday!!! Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in helping with. (Must be 15 or older)
You can email me or call 717-392-3206.
You can also fill out the volunteer form at http://cmilive.com/volunteer.html
(Also, we need help with Load In and Load Out for Hawk Nelson onThursday, Oct. 28th)
Hope to see you at one of the upcoming concerts! For the complete list, go to – http://cmilive.com/

Have you ever wondered what it’s like behind the scenes at concerts? Ever wonder how all that gear, sound equipment and lighting magically appears when you go to a show? Well, have we got a job for you! CMI Productions is looking for dedicated volunteers who can help with Load In and Load Out at our concerts. Basically, this is an all day commitment; where you would be helping to set up for the show and then tearing it all down after the show. We are looking for people 15 and older who are responsible and willing to serve in this capacity. If this sounds like a ministry you would like to be involved in, please go to our website and fill out the Volunteer Form.

Monday, October 11th Bill Mallonee from the late Vigilantes of Love will be playing a show at The Mill Coffeehouse in Lititz at 7:30PM. Bill is an amazing singer/songwriter who wears his heart on his sleeve and shares that through his music. What a great night last night at LifeSong Christian Books and Music in Quarryville! As part of their fourth anniversary, they had a free acoustic concert with the band Reilly. Craig Deibler from LifeSong had met the band when they had played at Witness 2010.
It was a great night with great music enjoyed by about 100 people. After the concert, the band stuck around to sign autographs. Matthew from the band said that he really enjoyed being able to play in such an intimate setting and being able to meet the people in the audience.
The band had a busy summer and recently spent two weeks in Europe. They have a new CD out called “Around The World” which you can hear the title track and “Too Long Without You” from this CD played on WJTL.
You can find out more about the band Reilly at their website – http://www.reillytheband.com/

So, listening to WJTL this morning, I have heard some great songs and the most amazing thing to me is how talented the artists are to write the lyrics that they do!! How fortunate we are to have a radio station that we can listen to any time that plays such encouraging music!
Here are three songs that I heard this morning that just amaze me every time I hear them and I thought I would share them with you:
1. “How He Loves” by John Mark McMillan:
http://www.lyricstime.com/john-mark-mcmillan-how-he-loves-lyrics.html
“And I realize how beautiful you are
And how great your afflictions for me
Oh how he loves us so
Oh how he loves us
How he loves us so”
2. “I Still Believe” by Jeremy Camp:
http://www.christianlyricsonline.com/artists/jeremy-camp/i-still-believe.html
“I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don’t see I still believe”
3. “Grace Flows Down” by Passion Band with Christy Nockels:
http://www.lyricstime.com/passion-worship-band-grace-flows-down-lyrics.html
“Amazing Grace
How sweet the sound
Amazing Love
Now flowing down
From hands and feet
That were nailed to the tree
As Grace flows down and covers me”
I know that everyone is touched differently by every song, but we are all affected by what we hear on the radio and I am very thankful that these artists are sharing their God-given talents with us!
Have a great day and thanks for listening to WJTL!!!
