The 21st annual Dallastown Area High School Physics Olympics will be held on Tuesday, February 26, and Wednesday, February 27, 2013, from 3:15 – 6:00 pm.  The Physics Olympics is sponsored by the Engineering Society of York.  Over 100 students from Dallastown and other local schools typically participate in this event.  Teams consisting of five students compete with each other in ten different physics-related events, ranging from perennial favorites, such as the “Slow Bike Race” and “Fermi Questions” to new events, such as “The Egg Bouncer” and the “Naked Egg Eggsposed.”  Rules and specific event descriptions may be found on the website listed.  717-244-4021

The registration deadline for this event is February 6.  Spectators are welcome to come observe the games, which take place in the science classrooms and front lobby.  The opening ceremonies begin in the high school auditorium on Tuesday, February 26, at 3:15.
