PBS recently released a new documentary based on the national bestseller, “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.”  There will be a free public screening of this film on October 8 & 9 at 7:30 pm at Living Hope Community Church.  According to the UN, 27 million people are still in slavery today.  This event is to bring awareness of modern day slavery, particularly human trafficking, and to help equip the community on what can be done and how to become an advocate!  Local anti-trafficking organizations will be present, an opportunity for Q&A will be available on Monday evening.  The first half of the documentary will be shown on Monday, the second half on Tuesday.  717-940-5171  For questions, feel free to email Tiffany at tffny.hss@gmail.com.
