Gap-in-the-Hills Historic Tour
September 28 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Gap-in-the-Hills Historic Tour, Saturday, September 28, 2013 will not only be a celebration and a representation of that history in the historic buildings of the town of Gap, but a celebration and introduction to the Kennedy Tenant House, 1801, newly acquired by the Historical Society of Salisbury Township as a museum. Docents will be dressed in costume to tell how they “lived” their history, from William Penn to Mary Louise Walker Roberts, a nurse in the Confederate Army. The Gap-in-the-Hills Tour is centered in the village of Gap at the crossroads of Route 41 and Route 30, the Lincoln Highway. A shuttle bus will be available to take patrons to the historic buildings east of Route 41. There will be three shuttle bus runs: 9:30 AM, 11:30 PM and 1:30 PM. Individuals may also park in the parking lot of the Chestnut Street Chapel, 866 Chestnut Street. 717-442-9522
