Two-part program on Jan. 9 & 16 features John Soden, PhD., co-author of In the Beginning…We Misunderstood: Interpreting Genesis 1 in Its Original Context at Garden Spot Village chapel in New Holland. Soden, a professor at Lancaster Bible College, will explain Genesis as a theological account of God’s creation and examine corresponding accounts from Egyptian and Mesopotamian culture in defense of God’s sole and intentional creation of our world.
