Lancaster Seminary’s Human Trafficking Awareness Day
January 24, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Register now for free (at www.lancasterseminary.edu) and join us Jan. 24 to learn about the horror of human trafficking in Lancaster County and how we can help and minister to the victims of this growing crime. Organized by MDiv student Dawn Harmon, there will be three workshops presented during the morning session, from 9-11 a.m., and again in the afternoon from 1-3 p.m. All workshops will be held in the second floor classrooms of the Lark Building on the campus of Lancaster Theological Seminary, corner of College Ave. and W. James St. in Lancaster. Also, there will be a display from Change Purse, an organization that encourages hope through raising awareness and by investing into the lives of victims and survivors of sex trafficking. Change Purse has raised more than $90,000 by selling donated new and gently used purses; 100% of the proceeds are used to fight human trafficking.
