The Forbidden Book
Who first translated the Bible into English? Why did the established church oppose this effort? What were the “Dead Sea Scrolls”? How do they confirm the accuracy of the Bible?   Saturday Cinema  moviegoers will be treated to 2 informative and thought provoking documentaries by New Liberty Videos on Saturday November 16th. “The Forbidden Book” explores the fascinating story behind the translation and preservation of the greatest book in human history and will screen at 8:00, 10:15, 12:30 & 2:45. The 58 minute film highlights the contributions of John Wycliffe, Martin Luther and William Tyndale.  A second feature, “Mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls”, sheds light on the science, geography and history behind the greatest archeological discovery of all time. The 60 minute documentary demonstrates how the Hebrew language is composed of simple word pictures that illustrate the truths of scripture. This film will screen at 9:00, 11:15 & 1:30.

Saturday Cinema is a nonprofit independent mini theater located inside the West Annex of Saturday’s Market in Middletown showing cutting-edge documentaries with a Biblical world view on a variety of topics including theology.
