The Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society is giving you the chance to learn how to speak the Pennsylvania German Dialect! Commonly known as “Pennsylvania Dutch,” it is prevalent among Old Order Amish and Mennonite communities in Pennsylvania. Advance registration required: To register, go to www.lmhs.org/Home/Classes, call LMHS at (717) 393-9745 or e-mail manager@lmhs.org. Classes begin Tuesday, September 9 and continue once a week through November 11, 7:00-9:00 PM.

As part of its fall group study offerings, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 397 Tyler Run Road, York, is hosting Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, a biblically based curriculum that teaches people how to handle money God’s way. The program will start on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and run each Wednesday for 10 weeks.
