Happy 4th of July!

LISA LANDIS~ Happy 4th of July! KCB is celebrating this weekend with Red, White & Blue songs. We will mix in food songs, 4th of July history songs, and more. A “KCB RADIO BEACH PARTY” happens at the 10 o’clock theme party to go along with the Lititz 4th of July Celebration theme “Red, White & Cool”. Go to lititz4thofjuly.com for more information. There is an admission fee.

Look for WJTL & KCB in Lititz Springs Park this afternoon (gates now opening at 1:30pm thanks to the rain). The KCB Cookie Car back at the Creation Festival Children’s Tent this week!

LISA LANDIS~ The KCB Cookie Car is packed and ready to make it’s first trip to The Creation Festival in Mt. Union, PA. Yes, this is the first time that the NEW KCB Fiat will be making the trip. We can’t wait! The Children’s Tent is open Thursday-Saturday mornings from 8:45am-12noon. The big news is that PHREDD is back! Catch PHREDD Thursday AND Friday mornings. The Donut Man is back too this year after taking last year off.

Each morning we kick off the fun with games and praise & worship with Gretchen and Heidi. This Way Up is back. So is Jesse Rothacker & Forgotten Friend Reptile Rescue and Marian & Friends Ventriloquist.

The KCB Table in The Chidren’s Tent will feature giveaways, prizes, and cookies of course!

And don’t miss the KCB GAME SHOW CHALLENGE games featuring the all new KCB GIANT CONNECT 4 GAME!

KCB celebrates DAD this Saturday, June 20

LISA LANDIS~ Hi Kids Cookie Breakers! I hope you’re having a fun week in the sun. Thanks to everyone who came out last Saturday to the Middletown Public Library for the summer reading program kickoff. It was so great to meet you!

We are back in the studio this Saturday, June 20th. That means YOU can call KCB to get a song requested in the 11am hour. This Saturday’s 10 o’clock Theme Party celebrates DAD! (Don’t forget Father’s Day is this Sunday!)

We are also excited to welcome THIS WAY UP into the studio Saturday for a sneak peak at Creation 2015. THIS WAY UP is joining us again in the Children’s Tent. So is PHREDD, Marian & Friends, Jesse Rothacker & Forgotten Friend Reptile Rescue, The Donut Man, Gretchen & Heidi, PLUS a return of The KCB Game Show Challenge Games! KCB live at LAMS this Saturday, June 6

LISA LANDIS~ LAMS (Lititz Area Mennonite School) is the place to be this weekend for food, fun and fabulous deals! It’s the school’s annual benefit auction Friday night and Saturday, June 5 & 6 with KCB live on location Saturday morning from 9-noon. WJTL’s Phillip Miller will be with me this weekend at the KCB table and you can bet we will be there in plenty of time to sample the “All you can eat breakfast buffet” taking place from 6-10am. KCB live 9-noon with giveaways, door prizes (featuring tickets to ride Thomas the Tank Engine!), FREE Chick-Fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies and more! Request songs and let me know if you want to talk on the radio! Here is what the rest of the day at LAMS looks like:

Last KCB Roller Skating Party of the season this Saturday!

LISA LANDIS~ I hope you can join us for the LAST KCB Roller Skating Party of the season at The Castle Roller Rink in Lancaster this Saturday, May 30 from 10-noon. We will return to The Castle in the Fall/Winter/Spring of 2015 & 2016 for more skating parties. We are just taking the summer off.

It’s another busy KCB Saturday. Listen for coloring songs in the 9am hour plus, we will check in with WJTL’s Stacey Gagne broadcasting live from the Lancaster County Women’s Expo at Millersville University 9-2pm. It’s a fun day out for Mom!

Then, in the 11am hour a KCB RADIO FIELD TRIP to Green Meadow Farm! Green Meadow Farm works to connect kids and families with horses and farm life to bring refreshment, renewal & rest. Visit Greenmeadowfarm.org to register for their 3rd Annual Lawn Party Saturday, June 20 with special guest Kim Meeder of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch. Deadline to register is June 10th. Just like the Rafiki Festival, this event is at the home of KCB & WJTL-The Junction Center. Events include a professionally timed run with awards & a fun walk with prizes. KCB broadcasting show from World’s Largest Chicken BBQ!

LISA LANDIS- The annual KCB/WJTL tradition continues tomorrow at the 62nd Annual Sertoma Chicken BBQ Long’s Park Lancaster. KCB kicks of the fun at 9 with music, free KCB goodies like Chick-Fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies, door prizes and more. The 10 0’clock theme party takes its musical inspiration from inside the Sertoma Chicken Box. This year the box is filled with:

KCB back at Calvary Church this Saturday for the SVPS Walk +

KCB returns to Calvary Church Saturday, May 9, 2015 for the SVPS Walk + for Life. I will have the KCB Cookie Car & KCB songs at Calvary Church in Lancaster and Phredd will be performing and calling in live reports from South Hills Park Lebanon. Even before KCB begins at 9am Jesse Rothacker & Forgotten Friend Reptiles perform at 8:30am in Lancaster and then again in Lebanon at noon. Phredd performs in Lebanon at 10:45am with Steven Courtney performing in Lancaster at 10:45am.

KCB live with FREE goodies including our FAVE Chick-Fil-A chocolate chip cookies. Chances to request songs and talk on the radio. Door prizes too!

AND this Saturday we celebrate MOM during the KCB 10 o’clock Theme Party!!!

AFRICAN FESTIVAL at the Junction Center with KCB this Saturday!

LISA LANDIS- The Rafiki African Festival is here at the home of KCB, The Junction Center this Saturday, May 2! All proceeds benefit African Children by providing education scholarships and building schools through 3 local Non-profits: Rafiki Africa Foundation; Sudan Rebirth Ministry; We’re All God’s Children

Other participating local Non-profits include Global Baby Steps; Lancaster African Fellowship

Date & Time: Saturday May 2nd, 2015, 8AM-12NOON

Location: The Junction Center, (The Broadcasting home of WJTL FM 90.3 Radio Station) 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, PA 17545.

Registration Fees: Adult – $25; Children (ages 3-14) – $7; Under 3 – Free
Race day registration starts at 7:30am and ends at 8:30am
Each entrant must complete a registration form
All ages may participate in the 5K run/walk

The 5 kilometer/3.1 mile course
Starts and ends at The Junction Center, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
For the safety of all participants, no bikes, scooters, in-line skates, headphones or animals (except medical service animals) are permitted on the race course

Water available at the start, before the 2 mile mark and at the end
