If you were at The Junction Center in 2014 for the Steve Taylor & The Perfect Foil concert, then you probably have somewhat of an idea of what to expect as Steve Taylor & The Danielson Foil kicks off our concerts for 2016!!  The big difference this time is the addition of Daniel Smith of Danielson Famile (who you might have seen at Purple Door Festival).  They finished a successful Kickstarter campaign and are now touring to bring you brand new music from their “Wow To The Deadness” EP! It’s actually a one-time collaboration between Steve Taylor & the Perfect Foil and Danielson. Their new EP, titled Wow to the Deadness, will be released tomorrow, February 5th. Steve Taylor has put together an amazingly talented band, The Perfect Foil: Jimmy Abegg, guitar; John Mark Painter, bass & Peter Furler, drums.

What better way to celebrate Fastnacht Day than by hanging out with Steve Taylor? (Bring your own fastnachts.)   Be sure to listen to Terry Phillips and The Archives Saturday night as he interviews Steve Taylor!  (approx. 9:15pm)

You still have a couple weeks to finish working on your amazing  and  supersonic racing vessel for this year’s Cardboard Derby!  This year’s theme is “Race through the Galaxies”.   So, put on your creative thinking caps and get your team to work and with cardboard, paper, glue, string, and tape!  The WJTL Gang will be there all day for all of the fun & festivities!  Check-in begins at noon, judging at 2:00 pm, race at 3:00 pm.  There will be adult and youth divisions.  Early registration before Jan. 22nd!  Remember to bring your helmets! Bundle up & drink lots of hot chocolate!  We hope to see you there!!

WJTL will be broadcasting live from the 15th Annual Journey with Jesus at Ed’s Landscaping in Elizabethtown on Saturday, December 12th from 6-8pm.

Journey with Jesus is a walk through nativity depicting key scenes from the life of Jesus.  Walk through their rustic barn and experience the story of Jesus from birth to resurrection.  It includes dozens of actors & lots of live animals.  It’s a fun way to your family focused on the reason for the season.  Journey with Jesus will also be open on Saturday, December 19th from 6-8pm.  Ed’s Landscaping is located at 2623 North Market Street in Elizabethtown.  Look for the star about 2 miles west of the square.  Admission on a donation basis, all proceeds will be donated to the ministries of WJTL.  For more information, please call Ed’s Landscaping 717 367-1006.

Hard to believe that it’s that time already!  Wednesday, Sept. 23rd is the next “See You At The Pole” event.  This year the theme is “UNITED” with the verse:

Enjoy a Free Family Movie Night on Friday, June 19th at 7pm at The Junction Center!  We will be showing a free movie the third Friday of each month through October.  Getting us started for this year is the movie “Homeward Bound”! This is a free event, but we ask you to get tickets so we have an idea of how many people to expect.  Tickets are available two weeks before the movie.  Uncle Jerry’s Kettle Corn, Turkey Hill & Snak Stash products will be available for purchase. Turkey Hill & Snak Stash proceeds go to WJTL to help with the cost of the event. Come early to ride the WJTL Pedal Cars!  Doors at 6pm & Movie at 7pm.
