I am a mom of 2 adult aged kids, girl 19 and boy 25. girl is severely bipolor/and suffers from major panic/anxiety attacks. my son is physically incompetent/and suffers from previous heroin addiction. i work ft, but cant afford any holiday for them and i’ve been turned away 14 times now in 2 weeks from any and every agency in Lancaster pa for christmas assistance.
i know you area sponsor of the share the blessings. my mother nominated me for 3 years in a row, this being year #4. i can’t catch a break or get assistace or have anyone care about my family because my kids are older and dont qualify for most programs. i myself have severe stomach problems and anticipate surgery in 2011, but please, can you sponsor or recommend my family for the program or ask someone on the selection committee to choose us this one time in 4 years?” i have no one or nowhere to go any more. i am so sad over this age limit thing. adult children deserve a holiday too.
