Five Fun Free Family Things To Do This Weekend – August 14-16

5. 4th Annual Back To School Fun Day at Winterstown United Methodist Church near Felton (South of York) tomorrow (Saturday, August 15) from 10am-1pm.  Inflatable rides, games, wagon rides, face painting and food. Backpacks and school supplies will be given away while they last to all elementary and preschool children. The York Revolution mascot “Downtown” will be on hand. 4. Back-to-school FREE All-You-Can-Shop event at Pleasureville United Methodist Church, North Sherman St. in York, tomorrow (Saturday, August 15) 9am–2pm. This annual back-to-school event offers a range of men, women’s, baby, youth, children’s clothing and accessories for FREE.  Bring your bags and fill them!  Leave your wallets at home. More Info: Pleasurevilleumc.org

3. Free Outdoor Worship Night at Marietta Community Chapel 1125 River Road, Sunday (August 16) at 6pm. featuring Vibrations Dance Ministry, a lyrical dance group for girls K-12, Matt Wheeler music, ice cream, and worship. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.  More Info: (717)426-4584

2. Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum Henry K Landis Birthday Party. Sunday (Aug. 16) from Noon-4pm. Immerse yourself in the year 1865 and join in the celebration of the museum founder’s birth! Roam the grounds and interact with re-enactors, learn to dance a reel, take in a lecture about what was happening in the world in 1865, take a wagon ride, play some games, learn about historic food, and enjoy a piece of birthday cake in Henry K. 1. Palmyra Public Library and Flightpath Sports Park will host an end of the summer party tomorrow (Saturday, August 15) from 9am-1pm at Palmyra Public Library and throughout Flightpath Sports. This is a wrap up celebration of the Summer Reading Program, “Every Hero has a Story”. Activities will include a Bounce House,superhero themed photo booth, crafts, games, face painting, and more. KCB broadcasting live 9am-noon.  The event is free, however there will be a fee for some of the activities. Dress up as your favorite superhero. There will be a superhero parade at noon.
