Hi Fred, This doesn’t have anything to do with the 5 free things to do this weekend. I have a huge pet peeve, that I’ve wanted to talk to you about for a long time. I, too, am originally from Lancaster country and I realize we say some things quite different than others might. But here’s my peeve, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, etc. is pronounced Tues-DAY! It’s a DAY of the week, not a DEE of the week. A couple of the DJs pronounce the days of the with DEE at the end, including yourself. I cringe when radio friend Phil says “New release TuesDee! I took a little survey with my family one time only to find out that they pronounce it wrong too! Oh dear! Anyway, I think WJTL should be as professional as possible to be relatable to everyone, even non-Lancaster countians 🙂 It would make me so happy if this correction would be made. Like I said, it’s just a peeve.
I would also like to take a moment to thank you for a great radio station. It’s a part of my everyday life and I appreciate you and all the staff at WJTL. Blessings, michelle

These sound amazing, too bad I’m out of town for the weekend. Thanks for the tip, though!

In response to Michelle, I am from this area (as well as generations of my family) and we all pronounce the days of the week as days and not dees…haha…I think you have a point…it would be nice to have proper pronunciation of words..
understand it might be a part of a joke or silliness, but regular use just sounds off and surprising from professionals…

Thanks so much for the “five things to do this weekend”…i am always searching for things to do and your list is so very very appreciated!!! I share your site with others!!! We all benefit and are so grateful.

    Diane
