Manheim’s Matt Greiner of August Burns Red

September 17th, 2010

FRED MCNAUGHTON – Matt Greiner is the drummer of August Burns Red.  Matt originally hails from Manheim and now lives in Lititz.  August Burns Red has become one of the most popular bands in Christian Music as evidenced by their popularity at this year’s Purple Door Festival.  Matt and ABR lead vocalist Jake Luhrs have begun an online ministry to meet the needs of their listeners.

I heard the interview this morning and I think it’s awesome that they have responded to the e-mails they were receiving and created a website that their listeners can go to to share. I would encourage them to be careful and if they feel someone is really in trouble to get the appropriate people involved. And kuddos to them for reaching out to the children in Austria.

i heard the interview to (me and my bro. absolutly LOVE ABR!!!) and i think its soooooo cool that Matt Greiner and Jake Luhr created that website. I havent had a chance to look at yet but i hope to soon. I also think its incredable that Matt gets so many emails and stuff about drugs and stuff!!! That interview really inspired me too because I would like to be a missionary in some way shape or form when i grow up.

I heard the interview and I commend Jake and Matt for starting YourLIfeMinistries. It’s great that they do something about the emails they get. I just think that they need to be very careful how they go about “helping” people. As said above if they see a need it would be great for Matt and Jake tob e able to refer those people with struggles and addictions to someplace that can help further! Hats off to them for starting the ministry!
