New Tunes at 9 Roundup

March 15th, 2012

Radio Friend Phil – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.   This week on New Tunes at 9, we featured new projects from Phillips, Craig and Dean, Dave Barnes, Adam Cappa and Paul Baloche. We also played various tracks from Leeland and Reilly, both of whom are in town this weekend for the Vision Conference in Lancaster. Reilly is a 5-piece band from Philadelphia, led by singer/songwriter and guitarist John Reilly, who describes the music of Reilly as “violin-rock.”  The violinist’s in the band are the husband and wife team of Dan and Noele Huey.  Unlike many artists who utilize strings in music, both Dan and Noele are central to shaping the sound of the band; the violins are rarely relegated to filling-in space or used for musical window-dressing. You can connect with Reilly at http://www.reillytheband.com/; link to the band’s facebook, twitter, you-tube and iTunes’ pages.

Okay, Radio Friend Phil, I just can’t take it anymore! Is that a silver wig or curly Christmas tinsel? Oh, by the way, love the 9:00 Roundup! Thanks WJTL for being such an inspiration!
