New Tunes at 9 Roundup

December 22nd, 2011

Radio Friend Phil – New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.  Some of the new Christmas projects we featured this week on New Tunes: The “Hawk Nelson Christmas EP,” “The WOW Christmas” compilation and Jamie Grace’s new EP, “Christmas Together.” Jamie Grace was one of biggest names to emerge from the Christian music scene in 2011. Jamie, who is signed to TobyMac’s Gotee label, released 3 separate projects this year: The “Hold Me” EP in February, the full-length project “One Song At A Time” in September and the “Christmas Together” EP in November. At age 11, Jamie was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, an illness that she now speaks about openly at concerts, including her Creation Festival debut this past summer. And when she’s not touring, Jamie studies children’s ministry at Point State University, near Atlanta. Jamie Grace holds 2 distinctions this year with WJTL listeners: First, her hit song “Hold Me (featuring TobyMac)” was the top requested new song of 2011 and “Christmas Together” is the most requested new Christmas song of 2011.  Check out http://www.jamiegrace.com/ for free music, videos and more.

Merry Christmas,

Radio Friend Phil
