New Tunes at 9 Roundup: Needtobreathe

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup. (New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL. Bo Rinehart from Needtobreathe was our guest this week on New Tunes at 9. Bo, his brother Bear, and the rest of the band are currently on the ‘Stomping Ground Tour.’ (Needtobreathe also played a Live from the Junction Center show last Thursday for WJTL listeners.) Needtobreathe are an Americana band from Possum Kingdom, South Carolina; their music is a mix of rock, Gospel, blues, and old-time, Appalachian melodies. Their latest project, “The Reckoning,” is a 14-song collection that debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
