New Tunes at 9 Roundup: The Neverclaim

June 20th, 2013

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup. (New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.) Last year, WJTL played a relatively unknown band called the Neverclaim. The Neverclaim released their self-titled, independent project, and toured in support of the disc and their first single, “My Soul Longs.” To see video footage of the Neverclaim, Live from the Junction Center, go to WJTL.com, and click the videos tab. The Neverclaim was formed in Portland, Oregon, about six years ago, by lead singer and guitarist Jeremiah Carlson. Carlson was seeking and outlet for the worship songs he had been writing as a youth pastor at Vancouver Vineyard. (Carlson was serving as the Northwest youth task force leader for the Vineyard movement.) For more on The Neverclaim, go to theneverclaim.com. You’ll find the band’s facebook and instagram links, and a spot to buy their music on iTunes.
