New Tunes at 9 Roundup: The Neverclaim

August 2nd, 2012

Radio Friend Phil – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.  New projects available now: The Choir, “The Loudest Sound Ever Heard,” “The Heartbeat,” from Bellarive, and “Revival,” by the Neverclaim. The Neverclaim is a new band that I highly recommend that you check out!  They are a Portland, Oregon-based band that began five years ago by lead singer and guitarist Jeremiah Carlson. Carlson was seeking an outlet for the worship songs he had been writing as the youth pastor at Vancouver Vineyard; he has been serving as Northwest Youth Task Force leader for the Vineyard Movement. He assembled a band and began touring around the Northwest, opening for Kutless and Third Day, among others. Jeremiah Carlson says, “I’ve always looked up to the Vineyard Music team because of the influence they have on worship music within the Church body. We’ve developed an eclectic musical style that seems to separate us from any other worship circles we’d experienced.”  For more on The Neverclaim, and to preview their music, go to http://www.theneverclaim.com/
