New Tunes at 9 Roundup: The Reel

June 13th, 2013

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – After releasing several independent projects, a band called The Reel is making new fans with the title-track to the new compilation project, “Come Back Home.” “Come Back Home” was produced by Phillips Larue and Ben Phillips; the project is a partnership with Courage to Be You, Inc., an international, non-profit organization dedicated to building homes and providing care for underage victims of human sex-trafficking.

The Reel is a 5-piece band from Placerville, California. Lead singer Cameron Stymeist plays acoustic guitar in the band, and is the worship leader at Green Valley community Church. For more on The Reel, go to http://www.wearethereel.com/thereel/. You’ll find the band’s facebook and you-tube pages, a link to buy the disc on iTunes, and more. (Cameron Stymeist will be my guest, on New Tunes at 9, on Tuesday, June 25, at 9pm.)
