New Tunes at 9 Roundup with City Harbor

June 5th, 2014

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! Welcome to this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup. (New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.)

WJTL is celebrating 30 years of Christ, community, and music this weekend. You can join us at the Junction Center tomorrow for guest speaker Bob Lenz; and live music from Dan and Lauren Smith, Sanctus Real, and City Harbor. Also tomorrow: studio tours, birthday cake, fireworks, and more; all the details at WJTL.com.

City Harbor is the music duo of Molly Reed and Robby Earle; their self-titled debut project is available now. City Harbor’s website states, “When we see hurting people, struggling loved ones, and injustice in the world, we’re always thinking somebody’s gotta do something, and we know it has to start with us.”

Molly Reed, who’s married to Mike Grayson of Mikeschair, explained the story behind the song, “Heartbeat,” on New Tunes at 9 (Listen here: http://wjtl.com/listen/wjtl-casts/.)
