New Tunes at 9 Roundup: Sixteen Cities
Radio Friend Phil - Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL. This week on New Tunes at 9, we’ve been featuring new music from, among others, MercyMe, Skillet The Afters and Sixteen Cities. Sixteen Cities is a 5-piece band from Portland Oregon, featuring lead vocalist and keyboardist Josiah Warneking. Josiah and the band stopped by the Junction Center this week to perform a 3-song mini-concert and talk about their new project, “Love Is Making A Way.” “Love Is Making A Way” is comprised of 10 new songs that will be available on iTunes next Tuesday, February 28. The roots of Sixteen Cities actually lie in youth ministry; what began as a Wednesday morning worship meeting in 2005 quickly evolved to include an additional nine public schools in the greater Portland area. The first single off the new project is the title-track, “Love Is Making A Way. To order a physical copy of “Love Is Making A Way,” go to http://www.sixteencities.com/ (and while you’re there, you can connect with the band on facebook, twitter and more).
