I saw that Bleach was part of your playlist on last Sunday’s show. Are they still producing albums and going on tour? I interviewed them when they were @ Kingdom Bound and at an AG church in Baldwinsville NY. Most of what you’re playing is new bands for me which is great, but what about some of the ones who paved the way like POD, Bride, Tourniquet, Bloodgood, etc… that are not on the Archives? Is there any way to integrate that into a small part of your Sunday block? Look forward to hearing from you

It’s been quite a few years since Bleach has done anything together. Their music still holds up! Thanks for the music suggestions. We do play some POD but not the others you listed. We don’t wade very far into metal or hardcore.

    Promojohn,
How are you feeling today? I heard you announce that you were not feeling so great, but did
your voice hold out okay for the whole radio show? The play list from Sunday’s some sort of rock show looks great. My favorite songs from the episode were Money-by Manic Drive and Memory-by
    Decyfer Down.

Anyways, as I always love to say; I hope that you have a good day.

    your friend, Audra

Thanks Audra! I’m feeling much better. Thanks for asking! My wife also loves that Manic Drive tune! Here’s a quick tip…we just kicked off our SSRS Facebook page yesterday. If you are on FB make sure you like it!

    Hey John,

Saw your comment here, but not at my E-Mail. It was nice bumping into you @ the Casting Crowns concert on the 20th. I can understand that your SUnday show keeps in teh parameters, away from Metal or Hardcore. Would Prayer Chain or Resurection Band be in the parameters of “Some Sort of Rock Show?” Do you think of Guardian or White Cross as Metal or more in the Hard Rock Genre?

How far back to you go for bands that are still touring or in the charts? I remember Skillet’s “Saturn” from before John Cooper was married. I think it was named “Space”, or simply “Skillet.” It had an actual skillet on the cover. Do you foresee Manic Drive doing aconcert down in South Central P away from Creation? I remember interviewing the Cavello brothers before their father & younger brother left & they changed their name. Look forward to hearing from you again

Your brother from the same Father, Allen
