GREAT prize, For King And Country was a morning band at creation this year, and they were personally one of my favorite bands that whole week! Nothing better than 2 brothers singing for the Lord!

I am pretty sure that I met these guys in 1995 or ’96. Through LOVE 720 AM (Harrisburg/Shiremanstown), Rebecca St. James came to Central Dauphin High School for a concert with Serene and Pearl. I was in my high school years and was already involved with volunteering for concert set-up and tear-downs. When the Smallbone family pulled up to the school to set-up for the concert, I found out that it was definitely a family event. Mr. (Dad) Smallbone was the tour manager (he already had much experience in the music industry, especially in Australia). Mom cared for the tour group/family (hospitality). And, Rebecca’s entourage of brothers were Roadies and Techies. One took care of the lights, one the sound, and she even had one younger brother that was just in charge of the fog machine. I remember watching most of this show from back stage, and if I rummaged through all my photographs, I might be able to find some from that show over 15 years ago.

The next time someone INTERVIEWS For King and Country, here is the question this listener would like to know, “What was there jobs/tasks while they were on tour with Rebecca in the early years in the states? Was Joel or Luke the fog machine guy? Fog Machine Techies ROCK!!”

I love their single from this CD and, of course, I would enjoy this prize, but I would really enjoy more knowing some more behind the scenes facts (like WJTL is good at getting, and like my question asks).

Thanks WJTL for featuring the Smallbone Family!

That’s some great history, Josh! We’ll keep it in mind for the next interview with the guys. If you do find pictures, we’d love to see them! 🙂

This shirt speaks volumes to me! How else will the world ever know our Lord and His Love, except through us? The way we live life may be the only gospel some people will ever know. May God receive the glory in the way we live our lives
