Better Way To Play
March 26th, 2020
Do you use the WJTL app? Now there’s a better way to play! It’s more reliable, it’s simple to use, and adding it to your home screen is easy as 1-2-3:
1) Visit wjtl.com/play on your smartphone using your favorite browser. No need to go to the app store.
2) Tap the share button on iPhones or the menu button on Android devices.
3) Then tap “Add to Home Screen.”
You’ll get the same functionality and the same great tunes—right from your home screen.
** Once you download the new app, you can delete the old one.
I’m trying to download the new app. I hit the share button and it said there’s an error. Not sure what to do next!♂️
Hey Tim, Try downloading it again. What phone/platform are you using?
When I followed the instructions, it told me that I needed to reinstall the music app on my phone, I had previously deleted it. I am of the older generation and not really tech savvy. I was able to get the new icon onto my iPhone screen, but every time I hit play, it opens that music app. I was able this morning at home while I got ready for work to get it to play. When I first got to work it was playing, but I had to turn it off for a conference call. Now it won’t play again, keeps opening that other music app. Please help, love listening all day long.
Hi Linda,
I saw your post at the website. I would delete both, or any WJTL app from your desktop and then follow these instructions.
1) Visit wjtl.com/play on your smartphone using your favorite browser. No need to go to the app store.
2) Tap the share button on iPhones (the share button is that little square with an up-pointing arrow) or the menu button on Android devices.
3) Then tap “Add to Home Screen.”
Let me know if that works for you.
Thanks!
Fred
I go to WJTL.com/play, go to the menu on my Android device, but there is no “add to home screen.”
Hey Kerry
Here is what I found online…
Android: How to Add Home Screen
Do one of the following: Tap and hold an app icon on an existing home screen. Tap and hold a widget on an existing home screen. …
Continue to hold the item and drag it to the right edge of the screen.
A small tab should appear where you can drag the item to a newly created home screen.
Here is a link that might give you more info too.

Let me know if that works. Thanks!
Fred
Hi, I was able to follow the iPhone instructions and add it to my home screen, but unfortunately, my music is still cutting out, maybe even more. Could be the increased traffic with so many people working from home. It’s no better on my PC either.
Hi Kelly, Can you tell me what phone and which version you are using? Thanks ~ Fred
I am a tech-savvy 40 year old that lives in San Jose (The Silicon Valley) and has been streaming WJTL on a desktop even before smartphones were a thing. I just upgraded from an iPhone SE (body of the 5) running iOS 12 to an iPhone SE 2020 (iPhone’s latest model) running iOS 13… unfortunately, with all these resources at my fingertips, I still can’t download the new WJTL App; neither on the old SE or the New SE. iPhone doesn’t offer an option called “add to home screen.” Any help would be appreciated.
I just figured it out for iPhone. Even though Apple’s proprietary browser is not my “favorite browser” this process has to be done in Apple’s proprietary browser, otherwise after click the share button there is not a “add to home screen” button. Thanks Phredd, for pushing me to review my steps.
hi there so i was wondering if there is a way to get the wjtl app on my computer
Hi Kolin, You can listen to wjtl on your computer via the Listen link. The WJTL app can be downloaded to your cell phone. Thanks for listening!
