Stacey Gagne
STACEY GAGNE – Today is the birthday of one of my lifelong favorite musicians… Bono from U2. Even if you aren’t a fan … you might be surprised by how much their style is reflected in the music you listen to including many artists played on WJTL.
I was thinking about events in my life where their music were a part of the memory. From high school to the present. A friends lip sync, a college coffee house performance with friends, a gift given to me after my surgery, a concert with a friend…
Who are your memory inducing artists and why? It’s kind of fun to think about.

STACEY GAGNE – This month marks my 10 year anniversary at WJTL. Crazy!!! I was brainstorming some of the many things I’ve experienced with the station since I’ve been full time here and thought I’d share just a few. Stacey Gagne –
I hope you enjoy when I let you in on portions of some of our listener letters. It always makes my day to read these emails and I hope it encourages you, too.
“I grew up in Lancaster listening to WJTL and now am living in Southern California with my wife and children after getting out of the Marine Corps. I spend many nights up to the wee hours of the morning studying/pursuing my BA in Accounting. While I am doing my course work I tune into WJTL via the worldwide web. It makes my time much more enjoyable when I’d rather be sleeping.
God Bless and Thank You,
Jason “

Stacey Gagne – Last night while I was out running, I had 3 different people of different ages, sexes, races and social classes each wish me well on my run. “Keep going”, “Looking good” “You’ve got it, girl”… WOW. It was SO encouraging. It brought to mind these verses from Hebrews 10.
We ought to encourage. Encourage others to persevere, to have hope, to run their race, to draw near to God without fear, to love, to live by faith and to live a life in which we do not deliberately sin.

All Night Prayer and Worship Leading Up to National Day of Prayer
stacey : May 5, 2010 10:26 am : Stacey GagneTonight people from across the region will be gathering to “prepare the way” for the National Day of Prayer. At the Lancaster National Day of Prayer Website it says:
“This will be a time for us to gather regionally as a community of believers with the intention of seeking the Father’s heart. Our plan is to go out “before the army” of God (2 Chronicles 20:21-30) the night before the National Day of Prayer, in anticipation of breaking up the “fallow ground” (Hosea 10:12). We believe that much will be accomplished not only in the heavenly realm but also in the atmosphere over the region as a result of the worship and prayer we will enter into. Everyone is invited to join this gathering as singers, musicians and intercessors engage the heart of the Lord humbly before the altar of God.”
Both Gateway House of Prayer and City Gate Lancaster will be going strong with praise and worship and prayer from 6pm this evening until 6am tomorrow (Thursday morning) when everything moves to the grounds of LBC. Come out and join us! I’ll be at Gateway House of Prayer for the last hours of the morning.
The National Day of Prayer is a great time to come together as the Body of Christ and the opportunity is also there year round. Gateway House of Prayer is open and staffed 24/7 year round and City Gate has their prayer watch hours and info about their other ministries posted at their site. Both are staffed by volunteers from many churches in the region. God is worthy of praise and surely our families, churches, nation, region and world is in need of those who will stand in the gap in prayer at all times!
It’s just a simple little thing. Just a little grey rectangle on the toolbar at wjtl.com… but it can be helpful. I was looking for a specific blog that had been bumped down the page the other day… so I typed the word “mother” and ta da, there was the info I needed for the Mothers Day Contest. So if you are hoping to find something on our website, and aren’t sure where to start looking. Pick a word or two and use the search option. It worked for me. 🙂
We got a great email a few minutes ago from a listener overseas. It was another good reminder to me that we never know who’s listening and how God is using us to encourage others, even around the world.
Dear WJTL Staff,
It is Saturday morning here in the Philippines and I am at school playing catch up with my responsibilities. As I sit here, because of your willingness to place your radio station on the Internet, I have the privilege of listening to the broadcast. With the end of the school year nearing, you can imagine that the stress level is a little higher, yet hearing music that is God honoring and hearing tidbits of life at “home” (we live in York when in country) I am able to enjoy these minutes. (Because of broadband issues living in a third world country I can’t listen during the school week.) So thank you for being a blessing to this missionary while serving MK’s in Southeast Asia.
Serving Him,
a listener in the Phillipines
I was thinking today about the upcoming Sertoma Chicken Barbecue event at Long’s Park and the years of memories WJTL has there. It’s been one of the events I’ve looked forward to for the past 10 + years that I’ve been involved with WJTL So many different artists have performed on the Weaver’s Garage stage and the Talent Challenge the last few years has brought out all kinds of entertaining acts!
Of course there is the chicken and all the yummy sides (usually a couple of meals worth) to enjoy. I always look forward to seeing the familiar faces of friends and meeting new folks who stop by the WJTL table to say hi. You can even feed the ducks at the pond and throw a little frisbee.
May 15 is coming quickly! Come out and enjoy some chicken, talent by friends in the listening area, and hopefully some sunshine!
We receive tons of calls from listeners trying to find a song they heard on WJTL or played at church, etc. Of course the first place to look when you hear a song on WJTL is our playlist. Another tip I have is just to go to your search engine and type in “Christian Lyrics” followed by the lyrics you remember from the song. For example, there is a song that I LOVE that has the lyrics “Lay it all down” in the song… I can search “Christian Lyrics Lay it All Down” and I find out that it’s the song “Lay Em Down” by Need to Breathe. There are many sites that provide lyrics, but I find this to be the easiest and quickest way to find the song I am looking for.
Of course you can always email me and I’ll be happy to help you with your search, too.
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” – Mark 11:22-24
It’s such an awesome privilege we have to pray and that we can have the confidence to do so knowing that God actually empowers us to! If you have a prayer request that you would like to have prayed for, please visit our prayer request link and your request will be emailed to our staff as well as the staff and volunteers at Gateway House of Prayer. We believe that prayer works.
Also, we ask you to please keep WJTL on your regular prayer list! Some ideas of things to pray for: direction, the music, wisdom, finances, our staff and their families, impact on the community and anything else God lays on your heart.
