Here’s an email from a listener about how God ministered through a specific song (I xxx’d out their location for the sake of privacy):

“I want to share with you how your station ministered to me today.  My wife and I live in xxxxx, and we are preparing to adopt a baby who will be born within the next week.  We are in our late-30’s and will be parents for the first time.  As we have been getting closer to the due date, I have had some fears and concerns about becoming an adoptive parent.  So, this morning on my way to work (I am a pastor ), I prayed that God would take away my fears and concerns and confirm for me that this is his will for our lives.  A few minutes after I prayed, I turned on the radio, switched to your station, to find Mark Schultz’s “Everything To Me,” had just started playing.  Mark was an adopted child who wrote this song to his birth-mother who placed him for adoption.  After hearing the song (and blubbering like an idiot) the concerns I had were immediately lifted, and God confirmed for me the great blessing he is giving my wife and me.

This is an encouragement for you how your station is ministering to people you’ve never met.  Thank you for playing this song “for me” today.  I will never forget this!”

This unseasonably warm weather has gotten me thinking about Summer… which for me equals Music Festival Season.  If you haven’t checked out details for Creation Festival and Purple Door Festival 2010, I suggest you stop by their updated websites.  There are details about this years artists, speakers, ways to get involved and VOLUNTEER!!!  I’ve been helping out at the Creation Festivals and Purple Door since 1997 and in fact have never been at a festival without helping out behind the scenes in some way.  I can’t imagine any other way to experience the festivals … or to spend my summer.

US Hot Air Balloon

The weather sure has been gorgeous!   It’s a welcome relief to have so much sunshine after the buckets of snow we received over the winter.   There are many things you see in the spring and summer that you don’t get to see in the Winter… flowers, green grass… and hot air balloons.  One of our listeners recently emailed that they saw the WJTL hot air balloon floating through the sky near their house already this Spring.  Keep an eye out for it, and if you happen to get a picture, please email me and I’ll post it on our facebook or maybe even here on the blog.  Thanks to our friends at US Hot Air Balloon!!!

Hi, this is Stacey Gagne from the office at WJTL.   I’ve been a part of the team at WJTL since I graduated from college as a volunteer and part time employee.  In the year 2000 I came on as the full time Office Manager.  I have a wide variety of roles at the station.   I love to interact with individuals, organizations and businesses through mail, email and phone calls.   I get to help local organizations and ministries spread the word out about their events through the Get Up and Go Show and also work with local businesses who invest in the ministry here.   I also do what I can to help the DJs and staff both in the office and out at live events.
