Trauma 101: An Overview of Trauma-Informed Care

Research shows that 67% of the population has experienced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience. These trauma-based adversities are predictive of a multitude of toxic physical, mental and social outcomes throughout a person’s lifetime.
That’s why Samaritan Counseling Center, with funding from PA Care Partnership, is organizing a free webinar providing an overview of trauma for youth workers of all types, including mental health professionals, educators, and community workers. The webinar will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, and the training will be provided by Lakeside.
