KCB Roller Skating Party this weekend!

LISA LANDIS~ Greetings Kids Cookie Breakers! I hope you can join me for the next KCB Roller Skating Party this Saturday morning, February 29th at Castle Roller Skating. The Castle is located at 1400 Elm Ave. Lancaster, PA. Admission and rental prices at castlerollerskating.com. The Roller Skating Party is from 10am-12 Noon. The KCB Roller Skating Party will feature special skates & games, door prizes, the milk and cookie special, free KCB goodies and more. KCB Pop Up Party at Lititz Fire and Ice

Local author Lynette Brenneman visits KCB

LISA LANDIS~ Happy Monday Kids Cookie Breakers. Thanks to everyone who took part in the KCB “Request Hour” this past Saturday and CONGRATS to all the winners!

We have another very special guest visiting the KCB studio this weekend. “Cora’s Slate: A Day at Walnut Run School” by local author Lynette Brenneman is now available. It’s a historical fiction kids’ picture book with photos as the illustrations. It’s set more than 100 years ago, and it’s about a local one-room schoolhouse (Walnut Run).

This Saturday morning during the 10 o’clock Theme Party meet the author as well as the kids who portrayed children from history in the new book. AND we will have chances for you to win the book!

The book is now available at the following locations:

Pine View Dairy (south of Lancaster on New Danville Pike)

Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society (east of Lancaster on Millstream Road)

Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum (north of Lancaster on Kissel Hill Road) (The museum is also pictured briefly in the book.)

Ken’s Educational Joys (in Ephrata)

Conestoga Area Historical Society (south of Lancaster in Conestoga)

Merry Christmas from KCB

LISA LANDIS~ Happy Christmas Kids Cookie Breakers! (that’s how our friends in England say “Merry Christmas” 🙂 Christmas is coming!!! KCB is celebrating Christmas this weekend by pulling more KCB ornaments from the tree, giving you chances to win the KCB Christmas CD & playing lots of Christmas music. KCB Pop Up Party at Eastland Alpacas Nov 2

LISA LANDIS~ Happy Friday Kids Cookie Breakers and welcome to November! Have you ever played with an alpaca? Here is your chance! It’s the annual Eastland Alpacas Open House with KCB live on location tomorrow, Nov 2 from 9-noon (the Open House is from 10-4pm & Nov 3, 12-4pm and same times Nov 9 & 10).

See, Feed, & Lead the alpacas! Take a wagon ride around the farm, plus barrel train rides and a stilt walking balloon artist, and so much more. Food available at a food stand run by Hempfield Church of the Brethren Youth Group to raise money for mission trips and their Youth Conference.
