I loved listening to Burlap to Cashmere and their stylistic guitar playing. When they were popular there was never a night in the house that the kids and I did not listen to their CD while the dinner dishes were being taken care of. Still play their CD and use the music for our Tuesday Night group.
I love Burlap to Cashmere. I am thrilled that they are getting back together. I did a search on them not long ago to see if I could find out if anyone was playing with another group. The combination of the guitars and voices reminds me of something from Greece or Turkey… Awesome sound. Good news !
I was at their inagural show at Cornerstone 1998. One the best single performances I have ever witnessed…they were amazing.
Steve, I remember the first few strains of , “Is there Anybody Out There” wafting thru the air at
Creation Fest (it may have been 89) and the next thing I knew I had watched their entire set. Brilliant!
So glad to hear this. I can remember way back in the early-mid 90’s hearing them play in the coffeshop in Brooklyn. Even then they were incredibly talented combining. Been missing them for a while. Can’t wait to hear some new stuff.
Great to hear. My wife and I saw them in concert with Jars of Clay and we enjoyed Burlap to Cashmere more. We had wondered what had happened to them. We’re looking forward to their new project.
