MY HUSBAND’S CHAD AND THE SONG I WOULD PICK FOR HIM IS FRIENDS BY MICHAEL W. SMITH.
HE ARE HIGHSCHOOL SWEETHEARTS. WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE I WAS 16YEARS. HE ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND WITH A CARD ON VALETINES DAY I STILL HAVE THE CARD. THE REASON I PICKED THIS SONG IS WE WERE BEST FRIENDS EVEN BEFORE WE GOT MARRIED AND TO THIS DAY I AN HAPPY TO SAY WE STILL ARE. WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 16 1/2 YEARS. I HAVE BEEN WITH HIM MORE THEN HALF MY LIFE. WE HAVE FOUR BOYS AND TWO BOY DOGS. LOTS OF BOYS IN OUR HOUSE. I THINK EVERYONE NEEDS TO TAKE SOME TIME TO RECONNECT THIS A GRAT OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO . THANKS, HEATHER

Unfortunately, my marriage has been pretty rocky. I will be married 20 years next month. I do think of her always when I hear “Your Beautiful”. It reminds me of my wife’s low self-esteem and my feeling that she is beautiful no matter what has happened or is happening in her life. We are both Christians and pray to God for love and hope in our marriage.

We can’t participate in the contest officially because our daughter has a cheerleading competition out of state that same weekend, but I really wanted to honor my husband, Les, by letting the world know how great I think he is!!!!

I would choose to dedicate the song “I Will Be Here” by Steven Curtis Chapman. The reason I’d choose this song for Les is because he lives it out — and has — everyday! He is truly a living example of 1 Corinthians 13. When we met and married, I knew of Jesus, but I didn’t have a personal relationship with Him. Because of that lack of relationship with Christ, there were some problems and issues in our marriage. Les gently guided me toward the Truth by being an example of Christ’s unconditional love for me, being forgiving and merciful and patient. It was through his diligent example, his love for me and gentle guidance that I can now say I’m saved, grafted in as part of the church and Christ’s beloved bride!!! Just like in the song “I Will Be Here”, even when we have gone through dark times such as the loss of two babies, Les has been here to hold my hand. He listens to me, prays every morning and night with me, participates in things I like to do, encourages me to pursue areas of interest and was open to adopting not one but five children overall when we thought we’d be childless before we were surprised and blessed with the birth of our youngest, a son. His integrity and willingness to admit his mistakes no matter the cost is a shining example of living for Christ and a great example for our six children. His hard work to provide for our family so I can stay home is a blessing and an example of his commitment to our family values. Incidentally, the song “I Will Be Here” was our wedding song almost 18 years ago!!!

Hi. 🙂 The song I wish to dedicate to my husband, Matthew, is “I will be here” by Steven Curtis Chapman. We have been married 14 years this summer, and we have been through good times and some pretty rough times, but through it all I want him to know that I have never doubted that he would be by my side…and I will always be by his!

The song that I have dedicated to my husband, Jimmy is Holding Hands by Steve Curtis
Chapman. We have been together for almost 15 years. However; we have been married for 2 1/2
years. The reason I choose this song is because we have gone through so much, and we still hold
on to one another. No matter what storms come and go jimmy is the world to me. We have four children two boys and two girls. I feel that this is such a great opportunity for us to spend quality time together. I know that coming to Weekend To Remember will give us the chance for us to share
our thoughts and feelings for one another. Thank You, and God Bless……

The song that I would pick to honor my husband and celebrate our marriage would be God Blessed the Broken Road by Selah. I believe all the circumstances in our life prior to meeting each other, some I’m sure that we both felt were heart breaking at the time, were exactly what God used to direct our roads or paths to cross each other in 1980. We were married in 1982 and even though there have been some bumps and pot holes in that 28 year marriage, we are still best friends. Together we found our personal relationship with Jesus and raised our six kids to love the Lord as well. So definitely our road together, although sometimes seemingly broken, has always been blessed by God and a road I would travel again just to be with him and, of course, my Lord, Jesus Christ.
