November 1st, 2012

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL. New projects available now: “Lights of Distant Cities” by Bebo Norman and “Finding Our Way” from Hyland. Available next Tuesday: “For The Glory,” from the O.C. Supertones. Another disc I highly recommended is “You Got My Attention,” by Dara Maclean.  Dara Maclean is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Ft. Worth Texas who, in recent years, has been drawing comparisons to Crystal Lewis, and for good reason. Dara began singing at age eight, led worship services at her church in her teens, and began writing songs and playing guitar at age 13. For more on Dara Maclean. go to  http://www.daramaclean.com/ You’ll find the iTunes music store, facebook and twitter, Dara’s video journal and more. Dara Maclean is currently on tour with For King and Country and Jason Castro. All three artists stopped by the Junction Center recently to play live before a captive radio audience. To see select videos from their performances (along with other recent guests, including Kutless and Charlie Peacock), go to wjtl.com and click on the videos tab.
