NEW TUNES AT 9 ROUNDUP: FOR KING AND COUNTRY

November 21st, 2012

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! And Happy Thanksgiving weekend! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL As I mentioned last week, some of the best music currently playing on New Tunes at 9 comes from several artists who have stopped by the Junction Center to perform live on the radio. The list of artists now includes, among others, Dan and Lauren Smith, Salvador, The Choir, Jason Castro, Luminate, Kutless, and For King and Country. For King and Country is an Australian pop duo comprised of Joel and Luke Smallbone, the younger brothers of singer/songwriter Rebecca Smallbone, also known as Rebecca St. James. For King and Country’s debut project is entitled, “Crave” which includes the radio hits “Busted Heart (Hold On To Me)” and “The Proof of Your Love.” You can download all the songs from “Crave” on iTunes or http://www.forkingandcountry.com/. And while you’re at their website, you can sign-up for band updates and check out their facebook page. (Also at forkingandcountry.com, you can download the new compilation project, “A Very Special Christmas-Bringing Peace on Earth.”)
