New Tunes at 9 Roundup: Hawk Nelson

April 25th, 2013

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup. (New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.) Hawk Nelson has just released their sixth project, “Made.” It’s the first project to be released without longtime vocalist, Jason Dunn.  (Replacing Jason Dunn is the band’s longtime guitarist, Jon Steingard, making Hawk Nelson officially known as a rock ‘n’ roll trio.) And speaking of rock ‘n’ roll, credit with discovering the band is often given to Trevor McVevan of Thousand Foot Krutch; both band’s hail from the city of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. For more on Hawk Nelson, go to http://www.hawknelson.com/. You’ll find a music preview page and link to buy the disc on iTunes. If you click on the band’s you-tube page, you can watch the official music video for “Words,” featuring MercyMe lead singer, Bart Millard. And be sure to check out the video, “The Making of Made,” and the band’s facebook page, too.
