December 6th, 2012

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL. New Christmas projects available now: “Christmas,” from Francesca Battistelli, the compilation project, “It’s a Shamrock Christmas,” and “Christmas Stories-Repeat the Sounding Joy,” from Jason Gray. “Christmas Stories-Repeat the Sounding Joy” is the follow-up to Jason’s previous project, “A Way to See in the Dark.” Jason Gray is a talented singer/songwriter from Minnesota who has struggled with stuttering throughout his life. “I appreciate pop music,” Jason says, “But I want to marry it to a reflective, hopefully interesting and compelling lyric.” If you go to http://jasongraymusic.com/, you’ll find details on “A Way to See in the Dark (Special Edition),” which includes an 8-song, second disc, full of demos, acoustic tracks, live tracks and more. Also of special note is Jason Gray’s facebook page, where Jason is posting what he calls, “A Month of Gratitude.” Now through Christmas, Jason is sharing his personal thoughts on his Christian faith, small poems and anything else that strikes his fancy. He recently posted, ”Grateful for the wisdom of God and how He lovingly draws me into it, gently working it into my life.” (Jason’s facebook page also has a direct link to purchase the new Christmas CD.)
