RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL. Available this week is “The Way We Worship,” by FFH, featuring their new song, “As For Me.” Last Sunday, WJTL presented another Live From the Junction Center event, featuring Matthew West and Mikeschair. Mikeschair vocalist and guitarist Mike Grayson joined band mate Kyle Schonewill for 2 acoustic songs, “You Loved Me First” and “Someone Worth Dying For.” Both tracks are available on Mikeschair’s latest project “A Beautiful Life.” Mikeschair was formed at Belmont University, in Nashville, TN. To date, they’ve released 3 EP’s and 2 full-length projects–all are highly recommended! In addition to making music, Mikeschair are highly involved in charitable activities. In conjunction with Food For The Hungry, Mikeschair formed a food collection charity called “Mikestable.” The inspiration came when they noticed hungry people gathering at a food pantry at a church near their apartment. With that in mind, the band continues to invite their fans to bring nonperishable food items to select shows.  Mike Grayson says that with the new project, “A Beautiful Life,” “We wanted this record to take a very hopeful approach. God is weaving together a beautiful life whether we can see it or not.”  For more on Mikeschair, go to http://www.mikeschair.com/
