New Tunes at 9 Roundup: The Choir

November 7th, 2013

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup. (New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.) The Choir just wrapped up their first-ever Kickstarter campaign and, due to the band’s fiercely loyal fan base, was able to meet their goals and will continue working on various, developing projects. (Those projects include an all-acoustic Christmas EP, a live DVD, and another full-length studio project, the follow up to “The Loudest Sound Ever Heard.”) If you go to http://www.thechoir.net/, you’ll find the archived web stream of the Choir’s recent home studio concert, broadcast world wide for the Kickstarter campaign. And speaking of Kickstarter, one of the many incentives offered to fans was a new, unreleased song called, “Beautiful Girl.” Dan Michaels, the lyricon player for the Choir, explained the idea behind the song on New Tunes at 9 https://wjtl.com/listen/wjtl-casts/For more on the Choir, go to http://www.thechoir.net/ You’ll find facebook, iTunes, and link to a free, down-loadable, 15-song compilation of Choir songs.
