New Tunes at 9 Roundup: The Museum

September 6th, 2012

Radio Friend Phil – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup: New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL. The month of August included outstanding new releases from Luminate, Owl City, Tenth Avenue North, Andrew Peterson and TobyMac, among others. You’ll find links to the aforementioned artists at wjtl.com: click staff blogs, and click Radio Friend Phil-New Release Tuesday Equals Excellent New Music. Also available now is a fine new project by the Museum, “My Only Rescue.” The Museum is a Georgia-based band led by singer/songwriter Ben Richter. Ben was a recent guest on New Tunes at 9 and talked about the new project, the band’s partnership with the ‘Not For Sale’ campaign (the fight to end human trafficking), and his maturation as a songwriter. For more on the Museum, go to themuseummusic.com. You’ll find the band’s facebook page, iTunes store and Ben Richter’s must-read blog for aspiring young worship leaders. His five major points are: (1) Always be faithful in little things. (2) Pride is the crutch of the insecure. (3) Take the mirror out of the green room. (4) Put down the music stands and lyric monitors. (5) Know your role. You can read Ben’s complete blog entry at http://themuseummusic.com/
