New Tunes at 9 Roundup: The Sweet Sorrows

RADIO FRIEND PHIL – Greetings! It’s time for this week’s New Tunes at 9 Roundup. (New Tunes at 9, one-hour of new and emerging music, weeknights at 9 p.m. on WJTL.) A new group called The Sweet Sorrows stopped by the Junction Center last week. The Sweet Sorrows are comprised of Irish singer/songwriter Sammy Horner (formerly of The Electrics); and his wife, Australian singer/songwriter, Kylie Horner (who plays penny whistle and melodica). You can file The Sweet Sorrows under Celtic/Folk/Americana. They are currently touring in support of their first, 10-song project, “It All Belongs.” (Sammy and Kylie Horner were guests on New Tunes at 9 last week.)
