Win a Hot Air Balloon Ride for 2 at the Run, Ride & Soar Weekend!
WJTL’s Road Crew will be broadcasting live Saturday, September 10th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. during the Run, Ride & Soar Weekend! Run, Ride & Soar Weekend is happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 9, 10 and 11 in the Bird-In-Hand/Intercourse area of Lancaster County. The event features Amish Country Classic Bike Rides, The Bird-In-Hand Hot Air Balloon Fest and The Amish Country Bird-In-Hand Half Marathon!
WJTL and the US Hot Air Balloon Team are giving away 2 hot air balloon rides for 2 in our Run, Ride & Soar Contest! The hot air balloon ride will be held on Friday evening, September 9th at 5:45 p.m.
If you are 18 years of age or older and would like to be entered into the random drawing to win a pair of tickets for the hot air balloon ride that day, email Contest@WJTL.com with “Run, Ride & Soar” in the subject line and include the following information:
*Your name, age, address and phone number
*Who you would take on the hot air balloon ride and up to one paragraph telling us why
One entry per person!
Two entries will be chosen at random out of all qualifying entries to win a pair of tickets for the hot air balloon ride on September 9th, 2011. One winner will be announced on August 26th at 5:30 p.m. and the other on September 2nd at 5:30 p.m. The deadline to enter is noon on Friday, September 2nd. Winners will be contacted by email.

I would take my daughter Kimberly. When I found this on WJTL this morning it is her 20th birthday. She is leaving the teenage years behind, turning 20 and has always wanted to go on a hot air balloon since she was very little. This would be an excellent way to remember leaving the teen years and entering adulthood by hot air balloon & seeing God’s beautiful earth by a new perspective!

My Grandson would love a ride on a ballon
I would take my daughter Alexandra who will soon be turning 18 this fall. She really wanted to go para-sailing at the beach this summer but I told her it was a bit steep for our budget..and I asked her about a hot air balloon ride and she said that would be fun too sometime! She will also be a Senior this year in high school and I think it would be an awesome way to start her school year and to realize her dreams & goals are limitless!
I would be thrilled to take my son, Chris. We do snow sports together but it is hard to find an exciting summer activity to do together since he is just about to turn 21. His Air National Guard unit will be deploying to Afghanistan in April 2012 so this would be a very fond memory for both of us. Thanks.

It has always been a dream of mine to soar over Lancaster County in a hot air ballon! My husband and I just celebrated our first amazing year of marriage and I think this event would take our relationship to new heights! I would love to surprise my hubby with this opportunoty! Thanks so much!

I would take my husband! He has battled health challenges all of his life but refuses to quit, give up or go on disability. We’ve seen the hot air balloons & both said we’d love to do that *some day*. This would be SO neat! 🙂
I would love to take a balloon ride. I always wanted to and just dont have the extra money to do it! I would take my husband with, we celebrated our 10th anniversary in February,
Friday is my husband and my two year wedding anniversary. We got married in Barbados and zip lined to celebrate. It would be incredible to share that evening with him hot air ballooning over Lancaster county. If we don’t win, how do we buy tickets? I just want to be closer to God and give him thanks for such an incredible life.
