Hi this is Jody from Red Lion, and attend Life Center. I heard of this contest and would like to enter someone here in York who is a single mom with a child in a wheelchair who is great need. Single income and they live in apt. The child is a Christian and she loves the Lord. All this child wants is a handicapped van so she and her mom can go to church. They recently lost all phone connection. Only way I commuticate with her is on Facebook. I have picture of Todd and I going over and worshipping with her and her mother. God Bless You for doing this. Love in Jesus.

I have a friend from elementary school who married her childhood sweetheart. just last yr 2 mo after giving birth to their second child her husband was tragically killed in a ATV accident at their family cabin. She has been amazing at how she is raising her boys alone and just getting through day to day. She misses him TERRIBLY and its so sad to see her hurting inside. She always talks about how her oldest son sees Daddy with Jesus. I know she is truly deserving of help!

I have a beautiful daughter who lost her husband in an accident last year in September. She has two boys. She works, she is taking a class at HACC and she still takes great care of her boys while trying to keep her house. It is a lot of work and she does have good family and friends but she sure could use some extra help.

My best friend and her husband were childhood sweethearts that wed in 2007. Last September he was killed in a tragic ATV accident, leaving her to raise their 2 sons. She has shown tremendous strength through all of this: losing her soul mate, companion, father to her children, and most of all the person she was meant to be with. Brandi is a person that is loved by all because of her kindness, strength, personality, charm, and beauty. She was completely devestated after losing her husband, yet she promised God and her family and friends, she would remain strong for her boys. She is honestly one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She takes life day by day and contiunes raising her boys to remember their father. Kason, her oldest son, speaks to Jesus and his Daddy every day. Brandi has been through so much but has kept her faith and has only made it stronger and continues to lead her boys through this journey. Not only did she lose her husband, she became a single mother, had to go back to work, does all the housework, taking classes, and is still the most amazing mom I have ever met. She deserves this award because of her profound ability to keep things together for the love of her boys and the memory of their father! She is truely an amazing person!

Good morning! I’m curious how many entries there are. So excited that you all are honoring single parents. It’s a great way to so the love of Christ to those who, for whatever reason, aren’t with what most of us would call “our other half.”

    Blessings
