Healey Willan; Deck the Halls\, arr. Parker & Shaw; The Little Road to Bethlehem\, Michael Head; The Yearning\, Craig Courtney\, as well as other beloved sounds of the season.\nJessica Kistler\, a well-known local flautist\, and Andrew Pickett\, percussionist and chorale member\, will accompany the chorale on several pieces.\nThe Heritage Chorale\, now in its 31st year\, strives to promote and preserve the choral art form through performance excellence. The program in the historic 1854 church sanctuary at 40 East Orange Street\, will include music\, prayers\, and a reading by 96 year-old Korean War era Veteran Bill Sloyer. Mr. Sloyer\, a Lancaster native\, is a lifetime member of First Reformed Church. Others participating include Vietnam Veterans Don Markley and Jim Chryst\, reading “American Creed” and “Old Glory” respectively. Baritone Rick Weinhold will sing “In Flander’s Fields” and additional music will be provided by Doug Albert\, trumpet\, and Larry Hershey\, organ. \nVeterans and all who wish to honor them are invited to the service. Light refreshments will follow the service.

The program\, “Musicals\, Movies\, and Medleys!” will include music from Hello Dolly\, Mame\, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg\, Very Warm for May and Pirates of the Caribbean\, \nThe First Friday “Organic Reflections” concert series is a gift to the community from First Reformed Church\, a center city congregation of the United Church of Christ. Only 30 minutes in length\, the free concerts begin at 8 PM each First Friday for the convenience of those who wish to spend the early evening visiting downtown galleries before the concert. Doors open at 7:30 pm. All are welcome to hear 30 minutes of majestic music that will refresh your soul and inspire your spirit.
