Lancaster Church of the Brethren (LCOB) will host its sixth annual International Fun Day on Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The church is located at 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster. (Activities will move indoors if it rains.)

Representatives of about 20 countries will set up table displays with information, activities, artwork, and food representing their country. Anyone can learn and sample foods, while children will receive a passport to be stickered at each “country” they visit. When their passport is filled, they will receive a small prize.

Tables are confirmed for these nations or regions: Australia, China, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Nigeria, Panama, Puerto Rico, Scotland, South Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the 574 Tribal Nations of the United States.

Signs will acknowledge parts of the world that are plagued by violence and encourage prayers for peace.

Dancers from the Paloma School of Irish Dance will start the day with a performance at 10:10 a.m. Other attractions include Native American story telling and music by ventriloquist Dotti Seitz, songs from a South Sudanese-American choir, face painting, and games for children. The United States will be represented by a free hot dog lunch.
