No new full-time vacancies were filled during the past year –

April 1, 2015 through March 31, 2016.

Since no vacancies were filled, no recruitment sources were used.

No one was interviewed.

Announcements were made on air twice each month, on the first and fifteenth asking for Community Groups interested in being updated on employment availabilities to contact the station.

A list of those community groups that contacted the station was kept.

Job Shadowing and Internships for High School and College credit continued to be offered during the past year.   The following is a list of College and High School students who received credit for their time at WJTL, as well as a list of Shadows that visited the WJTL Studios.

Interns:
Nick Hanselman:  Summer 2015.  Lancaster Bible College Junior.   Major:  Worship & Performing Arts.   Interned at events approx 10 hours

Daniel Ebersole:   August 2014 – May 2015 Homeschool Senior.  Interned on air, on site work, and at concerts/events.  240 + hours

Mike Rapak:   Summer 2015.  Millersville University Communications/Broadcasting Major with interest in Videography and editing.  Interned at events and in video department 224 + hours

Katlyn Jumper: Summer 2015.  Lebanon Valley College. Music Business Major.  Interned on air, in office and at events.  135+ hours

Nicholas Charles: Summer 2015. Temple University Student.  Interned on air and at events

Frankie Barrett: Fall 2015.  Senior Hempfield High School.  Interned 5hrs per week. Interned on air and in office

Kathryn Burd:  Summer 2015 to present.  Indiana University of PA.  5th Year Student.  Communications Media.  Needs 360 hours.  So far has interned at events

James Darley:  January 2015 to present.  On air 7:00 to 9:00 am on Thursdays.  No hour requirement.

Shadows:
Beau Walmer, Waynesburg University visiting on break shadowed on air January 8, 2015 7:00 am

Emily Griffin:  Bloomsburg University Summer 2015  20 hours shadowing at events

Megan Weik (sophomore)  and Caitlyn Gelgot (junior) at Cedar Crest High School Shadowed on air and in office from 7:00 to 10:00 am on March 22, 2016

Matthias Boggs: High School Senior  1/19/16 on air/in office and events totaling 10.5 hours

Josiah Witmer:  Willow Valley Work Immersion Program Senior.  3/15/16  Shadowed on air, had tour and interview 7:00 – 10:00 am

Jeyson with hosts Phil and Laura Stumpf (Guest from Nicaragua)  8:00 – 9:00 am 1/14/16

Outreach programs to local colleges and schools also continued.

Throughout the year WJTL continues to welcome School Groups, Boy and Girl Scout Groups, Youth Groups, Community Groups and Homeschool Groups for tours of the WJTL studios.  These tours include question and answer time with staff.

WJTL also continues to host Youth Group Night .  Youth Groups from around the WJTL Listening area come to the station for 2 and half to 3 hours to be on the air, experience the production room, and hear presentations on continued education and a Career in Broadcasting from a WJTL staff member.
