Hempfield Church, located at 3050 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, will once again host its annual Quiet Christmas service on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. This year’s theme is “Our Hope Is in What Is Coming.”

This special contemplative service, which is open to the public, is for those grieving a loss of any kind or for those preferring a more low key, meditative way to begin the Advent season.

Included in the service will be music, candle lighting, scripture, and communion.
