Heritage Chorale of Lancaster: Winter Concert

The historic 1854 domed sanctuary of First Reformed Church, 40 E. Orange Street, Lancaster, will be the site for The Heritage Chorale of Lancaster’s concert “In the Bleak Midwinter” on Sunday, December 7th, at 4:00 PM. The concert will include In the Bleak Midwinter, arr. Dan Forrest, Sussex Carol; arr. Elaine Hagenberg; Silent Night, Philip Stopford; Glow, Eric Whitacre; African Noel, Andre J. Thomas; All Bells in Paradise, John Rutter; Sing We Now of Christmas, arr. Fred Prentice; Light the Legend, Michael Isaacson; What Is This Lovely Fragrance, arr. Healey Willan; Deck the Halls, arr. Parker & Shaw; The Little Road to Bethlehem, Michael Head; The Yearning, Craig Courtney, as well as other beloved sounds of the season.
Jessica Kistler, a well-known local flautist, and Andrew Pickett, percussionist and chorale member, will accompany the chorale on several pieces.
The Heritage Chorale, now in its 31st year, strives to promote and preserve the choral art form through performance excellence. Their mission is to inspire their listeners to a renewed appreciation of the rich and varied choral legacy that has been an integral part of their heritage.
