PATHWAYS HERITAGE DAY
Journey into Pathways Heritage Day on Saturday, October 19, at the historic 1791 Brubaker Homestead from 10 am to 4 pm. Over 300 educators, historians, artisans, and interpreters create a living tapestry of our rich Pennsylvania past.
Two captivating themes:
• Travel through time, from the rugged 1740s rural Pennsylvania frontier to the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. Feel the pulse of history through Lenni Lenape heritage, life beyond the frontier, a trapper village, Revolutionary and Civil War military unit encampments, and an 1880s farmstead.
• A Day Packed with Hands-On Fun and Learning: Participate in historical competitions. Children and adults can dive into interactive activities while local historians and reenactors share captivating stories and exhibits from significant local historical sites and local historical organizations.
Heritage Day inspires a passion for history in students while helping parents nurture historical appreciation in their family life.
Light festival foods, including pulled pork, are available. Homemade soups and pulled pork are also available for takeout.
This FREE, non-commercial family event (and don’t forget the grandparents) is sponsored by Pathways Hybrid Learning Community, educating students in grades 3 -12.
Admission and parking are free. Proceeds support the instructional program of Pathways Hybrid Learning.
