Focus on God’s Goodness-Fruitfulness of God’s Word
JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Focus on God’s Goodness is found in Psalm 1, verses 1 to 3.
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-whatever they do prospers.”
There is wonderful counsel in the wisdom of God’s voice. A thriving faith flows out of delighting in God’s Word. That is where we learn about His unfailing love for us. In the quietness of the day, we can open our Bible, and find hope and encouragement to move forward with God. We get aligned with His heart and focused on His will. We learn what it is like to love like Jesus and to follow His way of righteousness. God’s Word prepares us for being a bright light in a world that needs His saving grace.
The Fruitfulness of God’s Word reveals the Goodness of God and is a reason to give thanks in the Year of Gratitude.
