Hurricane Relief and Prayer Support

October 13th, 2024

This blog is being frequently updated as we learn of specific ways for you to pray, join in relief efforts or volunteer.  Current posts are focused on Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

In Romans 8:26 we are told that  the Spirit helps us in our weakness and even when we don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit himself intercedes for us.

From Phillipians 4:7 we pray for the  “peace that passes understanding to guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.

We continue to lift up prayers to those impacted by this years devastating storms as we pray for those in the path of Hurricane Milton.

Ways to Pray:

  • for those making their ways home from evacuation sites – peace, wisdom, safety
  • for the rebuilding process
  • for relief workers and volunteers who are being called to serve
  • for the first responders – safety, God’s sustaining energy and wisdom
  • for supplies to reach those who need them
  • for neighbors to help and look out for each other
  • for opportunities for the Hope of Christ to be shared
