Venezuela Earthquakes – Relief and Prayer Support
June 30, 2026 – On June 24th a rare incidence of double earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 magnitudes caused massive devastation, death and injury in Venezuela, specifically in the area of LaGuaira, north of Caracas. At least 1,700 people have been confirmed dead with thousands missing and injured. Many people were left homeless and searching for family members and safety. In addition to the physical needs following an event of this magnitude are the mental and emotional impacts. Millions of God’s children need help, hope and refuge.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” Psalm 46:1-2
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Some Ways You Can Pray:

- for the missing and injured to be found quickly
- comfort to the many who have suffered great loss
- for relief workers and volunteers who are being called to serve
- for first responders – safety, God’s sustaining energy and wisdom
- for supplies to reach those who need them most
- for neighbors to help and look out for each other
- for the Hope of Christ to be shared and found
