Praise Focus-Glory of God

JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Praise Focus comes from Ephesians 1:11 and 12.

Speaking of Jesus, “In him, we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.”

This is a message for the faithful in Christ, and one of the spiritual blessings that we have in Christ.

God’s plan and purpose for our lives is to reflect His glory. It happens when we are under the influence of the Holy Spirit to speak, to serve, and to share God’s love with others. It also happens when others see us living with genuine hope through times of testing. Our ultimate goal as followers of Jesus is not to draw people closer to ourselves, but to draw people closer to Christ. So, let them see the love of Christ compelling us in whatever we do. His name is worthy of our very best.

The glory of God is a reason to praise Him in the Year of Focus.
